Tim was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, and raised in Hayward, California, near San Francisco. He began his professional career at sixteen at American Conservatory Theatre, appearing on the main stage for three seasons. After working professionally on the west coast for a number of years he attended New York University's Graduate Acting Program as Paulette Goddard Scholar. While there he created two original works with Tony and Pulitzer prize winning playwright Tony Kushner. He has worked in every medium from theatre to film to television to radio. He has been a member of two Tony award winning theatre companies. When not working as an actor he can be found in the mountains, he was a member of the 1998 Annapurna 1 South Face Expedition and has summited peaks in the western USA and in Nepal. He has three children, Lily, Austin and Joe, a brother, Pete, sister, Kate, and mom and dad Lynn and Phil. They all live in California. Tim's in Los Angeles.
